If you are in Frankfurt a.M. on the weekend, I can recommend checking out the Bright Tradeshow. Although it is marketed as a “Skateboarding Only” tradeshow, it features lots of brands that not only cater to Skateboarders but also the usual fashion interested consumer. And since the Bread and Butter has pretty much closed it´s doors in Berlin (except of course for the über-trendy Kraftwerk show) this is one of the few chances to see some of the smaller (and bigger) brands in the business show their new products in Germany.

I consider myself a sneaker-fanatic but camping in front of a store for 2 days for a pair of sneakers?…….nooooo way.
But it seems queues are becoming more and more common these days with parents lining up to buy game consoles for their kids, homeless persons holding spots in queues and the like.
Oh how I miss the days of simply going in a store and buying something I see and like…..

Since our world has virtually become smaller with the invention of the internet, it is so much easier to see what other cultures do, listen to, watch, read etc. in their sparetime. And no other culture is as fascinating to me as the Japanese.
Seeing what their shows on TV are like always leaves me with an open mouth. My guess is that 90% of their shows would never even make it past our censorboards
