Strychnin Gallery presents: The Red Thread. Bethany Marchman, Edith Lebeau and Jennybird Alcantara

Somewhere between traditional techniques and the influence of contemporary pop culture, three women artists from the USA and Canada create strong women portraits. Whether in oil, acrylics, or as elaborately crafted hand-made dolls that are reminiscent of characters created by Tim Burton: Strychnin Gallery’s August exhibition presents unique works of great expressive power.

This time the theme will be “Burlesque Ball of Broken Dolls”.

Our latest fellow blogger Christen made the new opener, breakers & stuff for “Kavka vs. The Web” at KAISERBRAND.
“Kavka vs. The Web” is a new MySpace series with Mtv titan Markus Kavka. It’s total confusion and anarchic and pro-analogue.
So we had the idea of doing a stop motion animation with cut out photos. Like in the old days.

Rumors (WTF????)

Yesterday evening I met a friend who told me he heard that KAISERBRAND ceased to exist.
You know, I wasn’t really pleased to hear that there are retarded rumors like this spreading in Berlin.

WHOEVER SAID THIS IS A F###ING LIAR!

The KAISERBRAND GbR, owned by Jana, Juice and myself, is still a pretty healthy business and there are no plans of whatever sort to change that in the next decades. We love our job, and we love to work with nice artists on cool projects.

At the moment, we’re working on a sequence for Loewenzahn (ZDF) – integration of 3D characters in 16mm footage.
And of course on many other projects.

The Beatles; Rock Band

Just stumbled across the Promo for the upcoming BEATLES ROCKBAND. If the game is able to hold up with the graphics of the promo it could be quite a ride. The Clip is brewed up by Passion Pictures and directed by Pete Candeland – who also worked with Jamie Hewlett on the ‘Journey to the East olympics spots’ for the BBC.
