Abnormals Gallery presents Max Papeschi and his politically-incorrect artistic approach. His ironic comments on the American Way of Life reveal in a pseudo – realistic way all the horror such a lifestyle entails. Collages like the the Nazi – Micky Mouse or the Ronald McDonald – Butcher demonstrate how cult icons lose their reassuring effect and change into a collective nightmare.

Mr Abbey & Christina Maria – in double bill acoustic concert
Christina Maria (Ca) And Christen Bach aka Mr. Abbey (Dk) are joining forces at the Arcanoa this glorious evening with a double bill acoustic concert extraordinaire.
Christina Maria is always worth a listen. She is a force of nature on a stage. Her live performances combines her breathtaking voice and her young-girl-charm with the security and skill of a highly experienced performer. http://www.myspace.com/christinamariagroup
Mr Abbey: “I used to be a Rock’n'roller. The stereotype with rusty boots and whiskey in the pocket – And a crazy band up for grabs. Then hell broke loose and strange things happened. Now I am performing for a while with my loyal Guitar, an old rebuild telephone and a pocket full of ambience. I am still a rock’n'roller, I guess. But a nicer one with cleaner boots…” http://www.myspace.com/misterabbey

Berlin based project Pictoplasma is regarded as the world’s leading authority on contemporary character design.
Their latest publication, Pen to Paper, launches in the UK with an exhibition at Concrete Hermit on the 25th March. The book presents the most adventurous images of a select group of international artists whose work finds its genesis in traditional analogue techniques. The recent revival of analogue skills has injected immeasurable visual wealth into the world of illustration, fine art and especially character design. Artists reject the computer and channel their creativity through spontaneous freehand drawing. The spontaneity of this kind of creativity allows for a more free-flowing form of expression, leading to edgy and untamed beings, erupting with energy – the perfect antidote to the plethora of digital imagery abundant today.

deerBLN in the Vault
Founded by Berlin artist Christian Rothenhagen in 2006, the deerBLNproject has a simple yet engaging concept: by personal invitation from Rothenhagen, artists are asked to submit an art work that adheres to only two rules. The first is that it has to relate to the topic “deer”. The second, it has to be a specific, set size (30×30 cm). Any medium – such as painting, drawing, collage, assemblage, photography et cetera – is possible.
With every new artist, another point of view is added to the ongoing project, and Rothenhagen, who is also known by his artist name deerBLN, likes to stress that art works do not necessarily have to feature deer – to him, it is more about the things an artist associates with the topic, and the variations that inevitably occur: it is about different perspectives.
The deerBLNproject is a constantly growing, travelling exhibition that has already been exhibited in Berlin (exhibition No.1), Vienna (No.2) and Cologne (No.3), featuring over 80 artists from 15 countries today. Exhibition No.4 brings it back to Berlin once more four years after its creation.
By the way — I am also part of the deerBLNproject. Here’s a video of my artwork “Hase vor Bergidyll”

After the successful exhibition at ATM GAllery, the INCUBUS PROJECT CORRSION exhibition arrives to REDSPECTIVE! A two month long presentation of these new works by one of Russia’s leading street-art teams.
“Very few are able to create such a strong association between the mood of the street and their art like Incubus Project. The streetart-duo from St. Petersburg is famous beyond Russia for their complex non-linear collage compositions that merge with their environment. This is not just stencils on the walls, but also the walls themselves, their face, communication, pipes, wires, transformer stations – they are all part of the arrangement… In 2008 Incubus Project were already an important part of the graffiti & streetart “Names Festival” in Prague, where they presented their work next to other international leaders of the scene like Blu, M-City and Brad Downey. Considering the formation of the group was only in 2006, their participation was quite impressive.”
